Cavidi offers five different kits for analysis of Reverse Transcriptase (RT) activity as well as the ability to custom develop kits tailored to your specific needs.

The five RT Activity kits are based on a highly sensitive, non-radioactive ELISA-technique using 96-well microtitre plate format. The kits can be used for either detection or quantification of RT activity. Another application is screening for potential RT inhibitors. The five assays are optimized for RTs from different retroviruses and together cover all known types and subtypes.

Lenti RT Activity Kit

For analysis of lentivirus RT activity. The kit can be used for quantification or screening for lentivirus (HIV-1, HIV-2, SIV, FIV and Visnavirus) RT activity in cell culture supernatants. Another application is screening for potential RT-inhibiting substances either directly toward RT or in viral cell culture.

HS-Lenti RT Activity Kit

For analysis of lentivirus RT activity. High sensitivity version of the Lenti RT Activity Kit. The kit can be used for quantification or screening for lentivirus (HIV-1, HIV-2, SIV, FIV and Visnavirus) RT activity in cell culture supernatants.

C-type RT Activity Kit

For analysis of C-type retrovirus RT activity. The kit can be used for detection and quantification of Mn2+-dependent retroviruses such as MMuLV, PERV, Spumavirus and FeLV.

HS-Mn RT Activity Kit

For analysis of Mn2+-dependent retrovirus RT activity. The kit can be used for detection and quantification of MMuLV and PERV RT activity. Another application is the monitoring of PERV and PERV-like replication in cell culture media or pelleted particles. The assay is also useful for the analysis of RT from FeLV and other mammalian C-type retroviruses.

HS-Mg RT Activity Kit

For analysis of Mg2+-dependent retrovirus RT activity. The kit can be used for detection and quantification of MMTV and MMTV-like RT activity.
